Gen Z Prayer Focus
As we pause and pray for Gen Z, sometimes it is helpful to focus our prayers in similar directions. In this section, we cover some prayer points about how to pray for Gen Z in New England. These points may be adjusted occasionally, but the hope is that they will be fairly static. For more regularly updated prayer requests, see the section below where we will be including our prayer updates as they become available
- We pray that churches would be able to bridge the gap that exists between Gen Z and the church.
- We pray that Gen Z will discover a bigger, better picture of who God is and who he has created them to be.
- We pray that Gen Z will own and engage their faith in ways that clearly fit the roles God has for them in the work he is already doing in New England.
- We pray that God would bring healing and hope to a generation that is facing a massive mental health crisis while trying to navigate the continued impact of the global pandemic in a rapidly changing world.
- We pray that Gen Z would recognize the ways in which the picture of success they have been presented is failing and look to God to redefine success.
- We pray that Gen Z would find communities where they can belong and develop intergenerational relationships where they know they are loved and can be challenged to grow in a faith that changes their entire lives.
- We pray that Gen Z would encounter the truth of God’s Word through a variety of people in a variety of ways so that it can “stick” and change the very lens through which they process the world.
- We pray that Gen Z would stretch the church in New England beyond the places we have already been and that they would lead the way as we become the type of church that can most effectively demonstrate the hope, love, and peace of Christ to a region that desperately needs him.
